Richard Dawkins on Jehova (Yaweh), the god of the Bible
“He is arguably the most unpleasant character in fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.” – Richard Dawkins

Richard Dawkins definitely is not the best in wordgames. This quote does not say much about jehova, only a small bit about malevolent humans, put up in the name of jehova.

I’m sorry, what part of the Bible were you reading wherein god could not easily be described in this way? Was it the part where he commands that rape victims marry their rapists? Or was it the part where he commands that children be stoned for disrespecting parents? Or was it the part where he commands the slaughter of thousands for being different? How about the mass genocide with Noah’s flood? I mean… come on…
